The Selene 49 is the next-generation evolution of the very popular Selene 47. It features the Deep-Hull'” design which improves headroom in the engine room and lazarette and makes the hull even more efficient than its predecessor.

The large flybridge is one of several areas for entertaining friends and family in style and still has ample room on the aft deck for a tender and the Steelhead hydraulic crane.

The flybridge is covered by the newly designed hard-top and the layout includes an L-shaped settee and table, a bar with sink, and a Kenyon BBQ. The wheelhouse includes a Stidd leather helm chair for the captain and an L-shaped settee that allows friends and crew to enjoy the scenery in comfort whether cruising or at anchor regardless of weather conditions.

Considerable thought has been given to equipping this yacht for safe and comfortable cruising along our Australian coastline and beyond. This vessel is equipped with ABT Trac stabilizers, a 57hp Yanmar get home engine, and a Furuno electronics package that delivers the latest technology in navigation and safety to both the flybridge and the wheelhouse. The Sidepower bow and stern thrusters ensure easy and safe maneuvering even in challenging conditions. The electrical system includes a 9.5KW Onan genset, a 190AMP Balmar cruising alternator on the main engine which is charging the 800AH bank of Victron lithium house batteries to ensure ample battery capacity when at anchor minimising generator usage.

A water maker has been fitted, and the vessel has Cruiseair air conditioning throughout along with a Webasto 24v diesel heater. The entire interior of this yacht is finished in luxurious mahogany, creating warmth throughout the vessel. The Saloon is large and comfortable for the long cruising days and anchoring in your favorite bay. The U-shaped galley forward of the saloon has Caesarstone countertops and modern appliances, including a full-size refrigerator with a freezer, dishwasher, microwave, and electric stove with oven. The accommodation includes three spacious staterooms. The master stateroom has a queen-size island berth with teak and holly steps on both sides, plus two large cedar-lined hanging lockers. A full size washer and dryer are housed in the companionway.

Headroom for the engine room has increased by a whole 30cm over the 47. The Selene 49 is an excellent long-range cruising boat with a D/L ratio at full load of 316, and A/B ratio at full load of 2.54. At 1,700 rpm the 230hp John Deere gives the Selene 49 a cruising speed of 8.5 knots with a range of approximately 2,000 nautical miles. The 49 also boasts an integral swim platform with a telescopic swim ladder, there is extra room in the lazarette for storing gear and supplies.
